Sally is Assistant Corporate Secretary for EPCOR Utilities Inc., an Edmonton based utility that owns and operates electrical, natural gas, and water transmission and distribution networks, water and wastewater facilities and sanitary and storm water systems in Canada and the U.S. She occupies a key role in the administration of board business and acts as a conduit between Management and the Board of Directors. Sally administers policies at EPCOR and is a member of EPCOR’s Diversity & Inclusion Council.
Sally is a Director and Vice-Chair of Governance Professionals of Canada (“GPC”). She is a member of GPC, The Institute of Corporate Directors, The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and serves on various not-for-profit boards. She is active in the Edmonton community serving on GPC’s Edmonton Local Engagement Committee as well as having served on the Edmonton Thunder Track & Field Board of Directors, the Edmonton Community Foundation Lowry Awards Panel and numerous other volunteer activities including Suzuki Piano and minor soccer.
Sally is an accredited Director (Acc. Dir.) through The Chartered Governance Institute and has obtained the GPC.D. through Governance Professionals of Canada. She has studied business law with the University of Saskatchewan, University of Alberta and ICSA; Certified Financial Planning with MacEwan University; Policy Management with Cornell University and Project Management with The George Washington University School of Business. She pursues ongoing governance training and education and is currently working towards an international master’s level designation in corporate governance. She has a combined 30+ years’ experience in the corporate governance and legal fields.
