Supporting Your Board’s Oversight of Digital Transformation

This three-hour interactive, virtual workshop will provide governance professionals with the knowledge and practical tools they need to support their board’s oversight of digital transformation (DT). Digital transformation is the process of using digital technologies to create new – or modify existing – business processes, business model, culture and customer experiences to meet changing business and market requirements.

Key topics will include:

  • Recruitment of ‘digital-savvy’ directors
  • Director onboarding and the organization’s business and DT strategy
  • Board policy revisions to reflect increasing importance of DT
  • Strategy and risk oversight
  •  Board structure for DT oversight
  • The adaptation of DT Maturity Models as critical self-assessment and Board reporting framework
  •  Including DT oversight in the annual Board evaluation
  •  Evolving disclosure trends regarding DT

The workshop format will also allow for a peer-to-peer exchange of ideas and practices for supporting DT oversight.

Governance Professionals are uniquely situated to support a board’s oversight of digital transformation.  They can provide advice and guidance to the board on relevant changes to its governance policies and practices.  They can also work with the Senior Management Team to develop effective reporting on the organization’s progress towards digital transformation.
