Ruby Philip-Katyal is senior corporate commercial counsel at the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General and has a breadth of board leadership roles in the non-profit, federal audit and hospital sectors overseeing the alignment of strategy with risk, stakeholder relations, growth and value creation.

Ruby is a practical and trusted advisor, negotiator and experienced director with expertise in the areas of contractual risk, governance, strategy, audit assurance, crisis management, inclusion and government relations. She is Vice-Chair Elect of the board at Mackenzie Health, overseeing both the Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital and the Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital, the Vice-Chair of the Finance & Audit Committee and past Chair of the Governance & Nominating Committee. Ruby also serves on the Lung Health Foundation board and was a member of the Departmental Audit Committee of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. Ruby has a BScN Hons. (Nursing) from the University of Toronto and an LL.B from the University of Windsor, a certificate in Strategic Business Leadership from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and holds the Institute of Corporate Directors, Institute-Certified Director Designation (ICD.D).
