Helen Bobiwash (Ninaa-toot-baakshkaagin miikaansaan) is Anishinabe kwe from the Thessalon First Nation in Northern Ontario. She is proud to be a mother to her 19-year-old son and four bonus daughters. She is an auntie to many.

Helen is an independent accountant who operates from N’Swakamok (Sudbury). She was recognized by CPA Ontario as a Fellow for her contributions to the accounting profession and to the communities. Helen has travelled across Ontario working with First Nations and Indigenous organizations for approximately 25 years. Her services focus on bridging financial capacity within Indigenous communities. Helen is proud to work with the Anishinabek Education System, the first self-governing education system in Ontario comprised of 23 First Nations. She is a Board Director of Health Sciences North, AFOA Canada and AFOA Ontario.

Helen shares her knowledge and time to increase financial capability among Indigenous people and to increase Indigenous voices with accounting standard setting systems in Canada.
