Chelsey has a combined 15 years of public accounting and financial services sector experience, with a specific interest in credit unions. Chelsey joined Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation in 2016, working with the supervision team to perform comprehensive assessments of corporate governance and risk management practices of Saskatchewan credit unions. In this role, she had the opportunity to engage with boards and senior management for a diverse group of institutions. In 2021, Chelsey transitioned to leading a team responsible for activities designed to instil confidence and enhance stability in the Saskatchewan credit union system.

In her current role, Chelsey collaborates with credit unions, provincial and federal government partners, and regulatory agencies across Canada. She also provides leadership for regulatory policy initiatives, crisis management activities, and oversees the strategies associated with deposit protection, ensuring the safety and soundness of members funds on deposit with credit unions in Saskatchewan.

Chelsey strives to contribute to the leadership of long-term organizational and individual team members success, making an impact for future generations. She is passionate about learning, development, and being a thought partner with others. Chelsey is a CPA, CMA and holds a Canadian Risk Manager designation. In 2022, she completed her Master of Administration in Leadership from the University of Regina. Chelsey has a passion for community and currently serves as Board Chair for the YWCA Regina. Since 2014, she has also been an active participant in the regulation of professional accountants as a volunteer with CPA Saskatchewan.

Chelsey resides in Regina with her husband Dillon and their corgi, Willow. They enjoy travelling, spending summers out at Crooked Lake, and partaking in many sporting events.
