Janice Fernandes

Janice is a seasoned governance leader and corporate secretary with extensive experience in driving board effectiveness and strengthening governance frameworks for publicly listed entities. She has facilitated director onboarding programs, annual board evaluations, and tailored board education sessions to enhance strategic oversight. Janice has led Group-wide policy harmonization across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with governance best practices. She has drafted key disclosure documents for listed entities and engaged with proxy advisory firms and external stakeholders on governance and board-related matters. Committed to advancing governance excellence, Janice partners with boards and executive teams to foster transparency, accountability, and sustainable corporate practices. Janice has been a volunteer with FIRST®, a global nonprofit dedicated to inspiring and preparing young students for STEM careers through robotics programs and has served as a Judge at the FIRST Robotics Competition.

Janice is currently the Head of Governance and Corporate Secretary of Allshores Group, a publicly listed global insurance company headquartered in Bermuda, with operations in Europe and Cayman Islands. She was previously corporate secretary for TSX listed energy company.
