Misti has over 25 years of corporate governance experience. In her current role, Misti leads a team of governance professionals whose oversight responsibilities include corporate governance and regulatory compliance activities, legal entity life cycle management, board processes and governance, integrity and compliance policy management. She has held several senior roles, which included management of the corporate governance activities, associated public disclosures and regulatory compliance activities when Nexen was listed on the Toronto and New York Stock Exchanges. She also managed the company’s stock-based compensation program and was nominated for the Integrity Leader role – a role that involved assuming additional responsibilities serving as a resource for employees with integrity-related concerns and implementing initiatives to promote and foster a culture of integrity.
In addition to her work at CNOOC, Misti also chairs the Board of Directors of the Governance Professionals of Canada (GPC). Misti has completed numerous company sponsored professional development and leadership courses, including a program developed by the Executive Education Programme Administration Team at the Said Business School University of Oxford.
